PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors for the final week of the 2019 season.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Julia Hollingsworth · Sr. · OF · Tulsa
Hollingsworth helped Tulsa to a series win over UConn, hitting .500 with all of her hits going for extra bases. She finished with three doubles, a triple and a homer to go along with four RBI and three runs scored.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Alea White· Jr. ·RHP · UCF
White went 2-0 last week with a pair of complete games and a save. She tossed 16.2 innings and allowed two earned runs on 11 total hits with 16 strikeouts. Her eight strikeouts on Friday brought her to 429 Ks in her career, moving into fifth in program history.

Cassady Brewer· Sr. · C/DP · UCF
Brewer hit .500 last week with two doubles and a home run while driving in five runs. She also drew five walks and scored three runs for the Knights.
Maya Thomas· Sr. · OF · Houston
Thomas went 7-for-9 last week, recording a pair of multi-hit games, including a three-hit game in the series opener against ECU. She currently rides a 10-game hitting streak to end the regular season.
AnaMarie Bruni · Sr. · UTL · USF
Bruni hit .500 last week with a pair of multi-hit games and was a perfect 3-for-3 in stolen bases. She collected a double and three singles, scoring twice while also drawing two walks.
Erin McDonald · So. · RHP · Wichita State
McDonald went 2-1 last week with a pair of complete games. She allowed one run on eight hits in 15 innings of work, recording eight strikeouts in her three appearances against USF.
Madison Perrigan · Jr. · C · Wichita State
Perrigan hit .556 last week with four RBI, a pair of homers and a double. She had two multi-RBI games, including a 3-for-3 afternoon, while scoring five runs against USF.
