American Athletic Conference Announces 2019-20 Men’s Basketball Schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. –
The American Athletic Conference announced its 2019-20 men’s basketball schedule which includes more than 140 national television productions over the course of the season.
 
A total of 91 American league games will be nationally televised by ESPN and CBS Sports. Of those, 18 will be aired on ESPN or ESPN2, with The American being featured on Thursday evenings throughout the season. An additional 28 games will be shown on ESPNU with five on ESPNEWS, while 13 more contests will be on ESPN2 or ESPNU.
 
CBS will televise the Feb. 1, 2020, matchup between UConn and Memphis and the regular season finale between Memphis and Houston on March 8, 2020, which will be the first time the Cougars have hosted a game on CBS since 1984. In addition, CBS will air the Georgia at Memphis matchup on Jan. 4 as part of the American/SEC Alliance. CBS Sports Network will air an additional 25 conference contests.
 
American play opens on Tuesday, Dec. 31, with Tulane at Memphis on CBS Sports Network and Temple at UCF on ESPNU. Three conference matchups follow on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.
 
The American also announced select non-conference games with additional telecasts to be added in the future. More than 45 additional national TV broadcasts will feature American squads.
 
The conference’s national TV slate begins on Nov. 6 as Cincinnati travels to Columbus to take on Ohio State on FS1.
 
Memphis travels to Oregon on Nov. 12 as part of the Phil Knight Invitational, while UConn will host Florida on ESPN on Nov. 17 and will be broadcasted on FS1 at Villanova on Jan. 18. Other key non-conference home games for American teams include Oklahoma at Wichita State (Dec. 14, ESPN2), Oklahoma State at Houston (Dec. 15, ESPN2), Tennessee at Cincinnati (Dec. 18, ESPN2), Ole Miss at Wichita State (Jan. 4, ESPN2/ESPNU – American/SEC Alliance) and Villanova at Temple (Feb. 16, ESPN).
 
All games aired on an ESPN network will also be available through the ESPN App, computers, smartphones, tablets and streaming devices to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.
 
CBS Sports’ coverage will be available to stream live via the CBS All Access subscription service, with additional coverage on CBSSports.com and CBS Sports HQ. CBS Sports Network is widely available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV, PlayStation Vue, DirecTV and Hulu. The 2019-20 conference schedule sees each team in The American play 18 games. Each team will play seven opponents twice and four opponents once.
 
The 2020 American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship will take place March 12-15 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. ESPN networks will provide live coverage of all four days of the championship.
