PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s soccer honors for the fifth week of the 2019 season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Allie Thornton · Sr. · F · SMU
Thornton aided SMU to a 1-0-1 week with four points. The senior scored a brace at Oklahoma, including the golden goal in the 101st minute. She now has nine goals on the season, which is tied for the league lead.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Konya Plummer · Sr. · D · UCF
Plummer anchored a UCF backline that allowed one goal in two wins, including a 2-1 victory at Long Beach State and a 1-0 shutout in overtime at UC Irvine. Plummer and Knights allowed nine shots on target in the two matches combined.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

DeLisle made eight saves in two wins for the Knights, including five stops in a 2-1 win at Long Beach State. Against UC Irvine, the redshirt freshman made three stops in the 1-0 overtime victory to earn a shutout.

Moreno came off the bench and scored the game-winning goal in the 90th minute in a 2-1 victory at Long Beach State on Thursday night.
