With the win, UC improved to 1-1 on the young season, while UA dropped to 0-2.

The Bearcats kept the momentum going at the 67th minute mark when senior Donovan Segree sent a perfect ball into the box off of a free kick where Commissiong was waiting to head the ball home and ultimately ice the match.
UC was aggressive throughout the night with 14 total shots, including seven on target. The Bearcats' intensity on the offensive end was also rewarded with four corner kicks. For the second-straight game, Charlton provided energy off the bench with a pair of tries on goal. Junior goalkeeper Noah Lawrence continued his solid play between the pipes with a season-high six saves.
Tulsa 3, Lipscomb 1
Three different Tulsa men's soccer players scored a goal to give the Golden Hurricane a 3-1 win over Lipscomb on Monday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 2-0 on the season, while the Bisons fell to 0-2 overall.

The SMU men's soccer team improved to 2-0-0 on Sunday night when it scored six unanswered goals in a 7-1 victory over Houston Baptist.
Senior forward Garrett McLaughlin led the way for the Mustangs, as the Oklahoma City native finished with his first hat trick in his SMU career.
The seven total goals marks the most the Mustangs (2-0-0) have netted since a 2014 win over Central Arkansas, where the scoreline was 7-0. The victory also marked head coach Kevin Hudson's 50th career win as he joins the three previous SMU head coaches at the 50+ win mark.
Preseason All-AAC defender Talen Maples started the night off with a bang for the Mustangs when he scored in the fifth minute. Despite creating more chances early on, the Mustangs allowed the Huskies (1-1-0) to equalize in the 17th minute when an HBU corner found its way into the net.
After the HBU equalizer, the Mustangs took over on both sides of the ball.
Senior forward Garrett McLaughlin scored the first of his three goals in the 33rd minute when he dove to head a cross from Noah Hilt, and rocketed his shot past the HBU goalkeeper. A few minutes later, Eddie Munjoma found the net when he curved a shot past the HBU line off a set piece to secure a 3-1 SMU lead heading into the break.
The Mustangs opened the gates offensively in the second half when freshman forward Henry Smith-Hastie did it himself and slashed through the HBU defense to put the Mustangs up 4-1.
The two teams traded blows over the next 15 minutes, until the Mustangs took a corner kick in the 65th minute. Henrik Bredeli sent the corner into the box where Smith-Hastie skied over his mark to deliver a perfect pass to McLaughlin, who beat the keeper to secure his hat trick.
To finish off the night, Noah Hilt scored when he took a set piece from just outside the box, tricking defenders and the goalkeeper as the ball found the back of the net.

UConn 3, Rhode Island 1
Senior transfer Jordan Hall recorded a hat trick and classmate Dayonn Harris dished out two assists as UConn dominated URI en route to a 3-1 road win over the Rams Tuesday night.
Despite controlling the majority of the opening half, it was Rhode Island that jumped on the scoreboard first. URI gathered a cross-field pass to the left of the net and gained just enough of an advantage to sneak the ball past the keeper and take the early advantage.
Jordan Hall answered the bell for UConn, knotting the score at one 15 minutes later. After Ahdan Tait's serve off the corner kick got lost in traffic, Hall collected the ball and rocketed one past the keeper at 19:47.
Hall struck again in the 42nd-minute for his second goal of the half. On a throw-in, Dayonn Harris lobbed a beautiful ball towards the back of the box that Hall leapt up and headed home, putting the Huskies ahead, 2-1.
The Huskies extended it advantage to two goals at 61:33 on another Harris-Hall connection. Harris served up a beautiful ball towards the left side of the field that Hall, in mid stride, jumped up and booted into the back of the net for a 3-1 UConn lead.
