IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced that the 2020 American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game will be played Saturday, Dec. 19, at the home stadium of the team with the highest winning percentage in conference games.
The time of the championship game will be determined no later than Dec. 7. The game will be televised either on ABC or ESPN.

The American Football Championship has quickly become one of the most exciting games of the college football season. Memphis won a thrilling 29-24 matchup against Cincinnati last season in a game that produced seven lead changes, while UCF won a 62-55 double-overtime thriller against Memphis in 2017. The five previous championship games, all on ABC, have drawn a combined television audience of 15.3 million viewers.
