The RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl will be played Tuesday, Dec. 22, at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Florida. The game will be televised on ESPN and will be available nationally on ESPN Radio.
The Knights’ opponent in the game – likely an Atlantic Coast Conference team - will be announced at a later date.
UCF (6-3) will bring one of the nation’s most prolific offenses into this year’s Boca Raton Bowl. The Knights rank second nationally in both passing offense (373.0 yards per game) and total offense (585.6 yards per game). UCF has scored at least 33 points in eight of its nine games and is averaging 44.3 points, which ranks eighth nationally.
UCF will make its 12th appearance in a bowl game, including its seventh as a member of the American Athletic Conference. The Knights have won three bowl games under The American’s banner, including victories against No. 6 Baylor in the 2013 Fiesta Bowl and No. 7 Auburn in the 2017 Peach Bowl. UCF defeated Marshall 48-25 in last year’s Gasparilla Bowl.
The RoofClaim.com Bowl will be held for the seventh time in 2020, while UCF becomes the fourth American Athletic Conference team to play in the game, joining Temple in 2015, Memphis in 2016 and SMU in 2019.
The RoofClaim.com Bowl is owned and operated by ESPN Events
Additional bowl selections regarding American Athletic Conference institutions will be announced as they are made final.
