PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending February 16.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brianna Harris • A • Jr. • Florida • Annapolis, Md.
Harris had a hand in six of Florida’s 15 goals as the Gators scored a 15-14 win at No. 1/2 Maryland, ending the Terps’ home winning streak at 86 games. Harris had three goals and three assists, turning in her second consecutive hat trick to start the season.

Kavanagh scored the game-winning goal for the second straight game - one of a career-high eight goals she scored on the day - to lift Florida to a 15-14 win at No. 1/2 Maryland, ending the Terps’ 86-game home winning streak. Kavanagh finished one goal shy of Florida’s school record, put 10 of her 13 shots on the cage, and added five draw controls and one ground ball against Maryland. Her gamewinner came with 49 seconds left in regulation.

Trombetta was named The American’s Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after she played a key role in the Gators’ 15-14 win against No. 1/2 Maryland. Trombetta’s primary defensive assignment was on the Inside Lacrosse preseason Big Ten Player of the Year, who was limited to a goal and an assist against the Gators. Trombetta finished with four ground balls and one caused turnover against Maryland.

Reznick repeats as The American’s Freshman of the Week after she made 14 saves with three ground balls in the Gators’ 15-14 victory against No. 1/2 Maryland. Facing a Maryland attack that fired 41 shots in the game, Reznick registered the third-highest saves total in program history.

Scored four goals with an assist to go with three ground balls and seven draw controls in a 15-12 loss to No. 5/14 Boston College.
