Tulsa's Tseng Wins American Women's Golf Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced its Women’s Golf Player of the Week for the week of Monday, Feb. 24.

Tseng earned her second career victory and first win of the year at the ICON Invitational at The Woodlands Country Club in The Woodlands, Texas. In a field that featured six ranked teams and 11 ranked individual players, Tseng carded rounds of 72-70-67 for a 7-under-par total of 209 to win by one stroke. She birdied five holes in an eight-hole stretch in the final round on Tuesday, and a birdie at the par-5, 548-yard sixth hole (her 18th of the day) secured the win. Tseng’s final round 67 was the lowest in relation to par of any player during the tournament, and she was one of only five players to post back-to-back rounds under par in the event. Tseng was also tied for the tournament lead in total birdies (13) and paced the field in par-5 stroke average with a sizzling 4.42 (-7).
