PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending March 8.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Monica Borzillo • A • Sr. • Cincinnati • Devon, Pa.
Borzillo scored seven goals with eight assists for 15 points - the most by an American Athletic Conference player last week - in a 2-0 week for the Bearcats. She had two goals with four assists in a 16-14 win against Setson, while she added five goals and four assists in a 25-8 victory at Kent State. Borzillo has 18 goals and 13 assists for 31 points, which ranks fifth among American Athletic Conference players.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Shannon Kavanagh • M • Jr. • Florida • Smithtown, N.Y.
Kavanagh eight goals with two assists in two games. She had a game-high four goals with an assist in a 13-9 loss at No. 15 Dartmouth and had four goals and an assist to go with 13 draw controls and a caused turnover in 17-10 victory against High Point. Kavanagh leads The American with 29 goals and 49 draw controls.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kara Nakrasius • D • Sr. • Temple • Garnet Valley, Pa.
Nakrasius led a Temple defense that allowed an average of 9.5 goals in a 2-0 week. She had six draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 15-12 win against Columbia and had three ground balls with four draw controls in a 10-7 victory against UMBC. Nakrasius ranks third in The American in both ground balls (20) and draw controls (42) in 2020.

Belle Mastropietro • M • Fr. • Temple • Springfield, Pa.
Mastropietro scored seven goals and had two assists along with four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers to lead Temple in a 2-0 week. She scored five goals with an assist, breaking a 12-12 tie with back-to-back goals in a 15-12 win against Columbia. She added two goals and an assist in a 10-7 victory against UMBC. Mastropietro leads the Owls with 17 goals.
