PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Four American Athletic Conference baseball student-athletes have been named All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Burleson, who earned the utility selection on the first team, hit .375 with three home runs and 12 RBI, while also earning a 2-1 record with 22 strikeouts on the mound for the Pirates. The sophomore catcher was named the National Player of the Week after hitting a grand slam in each game of a three-game series against Western Illinois. Goodman drove in 22 runs in that series, including a conference-record 11 runs on March 1. Goodman was named a Freshman All-American by Baseball American, Collegiate Baseball, D1Baseball, NCWBA and Pefect Game in 2019.
