IRVING, Texas -- Cincinnati and UCF, which were both ranked in the USA Today preseason coaches' poll earlier in the offseason, were also ranked in the annual preseason poll of the Associated Press.

Cincinnati will begin the 2020 season ranked No. 20 in the AP poll after the Bearcats went 11-3 overall, capped by a win against Boston College in the TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl.

UCF is one spot behind the Bearcats at No. 21 in the preseason poll. The Knights went 10-3 in 2019, including a win against Marshall in the Gasparilla Bowl.

Memphis, Navy and SMU all received votes in the AP's preseason poll.
