The Walter Camp Football Foundation has announced the Football Bowl Subdivision National Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, presented by Generation UCAN, for games ending September 19.
About the Award: This is the 17th year that the Walter Camp Football Foundation will honor one offensive and one defensive player as its national Football Bowl Subdivision player of the week during the regular season. Recipients are selected by a panel of national media members and administered by the Foundation.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DILLON GABRIEL, UCF
Sophomore, Quarterback, Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani
Dillon Gabriel completed 27-of-41 passes for 417 yards and four touchdowns as 13th-ranked UCF defeated Georgia Tech, 49-21. Gabriel also rushed for 30 yards and led UCF to 660 yards of total offense.
Notes: Dillon Gabriel earns Walter Camp National Player of Week honors for the second time (Sept. 15, 2019) and is the fifth UCF player to win the award since 2004. He joins two-time winner and current teammate McKenzie Milton (Nov. 26, 2017, and Sept. 30, 2018) and linebacker Terrance Plummer, who was the National Defensive Player of the Week Oct. 12, 2014.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RASHAD WEAVER, PITTSBURGH

Rashad Weaver posted a team-high seven tackles (5 solo), three for losses and two quarterback sacks as 25th-ranked Pittsburgh defeated Syracuse, 21-10. With the win, the Panthers improved to 2-0, 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Notes: Rashad Weaver is the eighth Pittsburgh player to earn the recognition since 2004, and first since former running back Darrin Hall (Nov. 5, 2018).
