IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s men’s indoor track & field honors, for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 17.
 
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Nicholas Alexander * Sr. * Houston
Alexander raced to the win in the 60-meter dash with a PR time of 6.71 at the H-Town SpeedCity Series I on Jan. 16 in Houston. Alexander’s time led The American and ranked eighth in NCAA Division I after the opening weekend of competition.
 
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Jadon Brome * So. * Houston
Brome to the win in the triple jump in his first appearance for Houston on Jan. 16 at the H-Town SpeedCity Series I, posting a winning mark of 15.61m (51-2.75). Brome ranked seventh on the NCAA Division I performance list to begin the season.
