CHARLESTON, S.C. -- — Khalif Battle had 28 points as Temple defeated Elon 75-58 in the Charleston Classic on Sunday.
Jeremiah Williams added a career-high 22 points for the Owls, who snapped a three-game losing streak in the game for seventh place. Williams also had eight rebounds and eight assists.
Sage Tolbert III had nine rebounds for Temple (2-3).
Hunter McIntosh had 16 points for the Phoenix (2-4). Torrence Watson added 12 points. Darius Burford had seven rebounds.
Wichita State 74, UNLV 73 - Box Score
?LAS VEGAS -- Tyson Etienne made two free throws with three seconds remaining as Wichita State came from behind and defeated UNLV 74-73 in the third-place game of the Roman Main Event.
The Rebels were up as many as 11 early in the second half, but the Shockers (4-1) came back behind Etienne, who had 28 points, including 25 in the second half.
After Keshon Gilbert grabbed a rebound and made a put-back to give UNLV a 73-72 lead, Etienne was fouled running up the floor and made two free throws. The Rebels were unable to get a shot off, giving Wichita State the win.
Kenny Pohto had 12 points, while Ricky Council IV added 10.
Bryce Hamilton scored 18 to lead UNLV.
Davidson 76, East Carolina 67 -

CONWAY, S.C. -- — Hyunjung Lee had a career-high 25 points plus 10 rebounds as Davidson got past East Carolina 76-67 in the Myrtle Beach Invitational on Sunday night.
Luka Brajkovic had 16 points and nine rebounds for Davidson (3-2). Foster Loyer added 10 points. Michael Jones had eight assists.
Tristen Newton had 28 points for the Pirates (4-2). Vance Jackson added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Utah 72, Tulsa 58 -

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- — Branden Carlson had 15 points and 13 rebounds, David Jenkins Jr. hit three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points and Utah beat Tulsa 72-58 on Sunday to win Bracket 1 at the Sunshine Slam.
Rollie Worster and Lazar Stefanovic scored 12 points apiece and Both Gach added 11 for Utah (5-0).
Dusan Mahoric made a jumper to give the Utes the lead for good about 7 minutes in and five different players scored in an 11-0 run that made it 31-19 before they took an 8-point lead into the break. Tulsa (3-2) used a 10-2 spurt to trim its deficit to 51-46 with 8 minutes to play, but Gach sandwiched a jumper and a layup around a layup by Worster to push Utah's lead back to double figures and the Golden Hurricane got no closer.
Sam Griffin led Tulsa with 18 points and Jeriah Horne scored 10.
Utah shot 50% from the field in the second half and made eight of its final 11 shots to pull away.
Missouri 80, SMU 75 (OT) -

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- — Kobe Brown scored 19 of his 24 points after halftime, hitting a go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:29 left in overtime as Missouri rallied to defeat SMU 80-75 at the Jacksonville Classic on Sunday night.
SMU (3-2) looked to have the game in hand after Emmanuel Bandoumel hit two 3-pointers to cap an 18-0 run to close out the first half, giving the Mustangs a 29-18 lead. SMU was leading 51-39 after Marcus Weathers' three-point play with 8:31 left. Missouri (3-1) chipped away until a jumper by Brown cut the deficit to 62-59 with 1:50 left. DaJuan Gordon sent the game to OT with a three-point play — on an assist from Brown — with 29 seconds left.
Brown's 3-pointer gave the Tigers the lead for good, but they didn't nail down the win until Ronnie DeGray III's three-point play with 8 seconds left gave them a two-score advantage. DeGray finished with 18 points on 5-of-6 shooting. He sank two 3-pointers and made all six of his free throws. Gordon had 14 points and eight rebounds, while Amari Davis scored 14.
Kendric Davis topped the Mustangs with 29 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including 4 of 6 from beyond the arc. Marcus Weathers scored seven of his 13 points at the foul line.
It was the first time the two schools met in 20 years and the first time they faced off on a neutral court since 1946. Missouri has won six straight in the series.
