Temple's Battle, Wichita State's Pohto Earn Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the third week of the season.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Khalif Battle, So., G, Temple
Battle recorded 29 points, including 20 in the second half, to propel Temple to a win over Delaware on Saturday, November 27. The sophomore guard was 10-of-18 from the field, was 7-of-8 from the line and grabbed four rebounds.
 
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Kenny Pohto, F, Wichita State
Pohto aided the Shockers to a road victory at Missouri on Friday, November 26, by posting 10 points and seven rebounds in just 16 minutes of action.
 
HONOR ROLL
Brandon Suggs, So., G, East Carolina
Suggs recorded 25 points, three rebounds, three blocks and two assists in a win over Coppin State on Saturday.
 
Fabian White Jr., Gr., F, Houston
White averaged 13.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in a 2-1 week as the Cougars competed at the Maui Invitational in Las Vegas.
 
Kendric Davis, Sr., G, SMU
Davis averaged 21.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists in a 2-1 week for the Mustangs.
 
Jeriah Horne, Gr., F, Tulsa
Horne recorded 17 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists in a win over Little Rock on Friday.
 
Tyson Etienne, So., G, Wichita State
Etienne scored 13 of his 18 points in a win at Missouri on Friday. The guard also posted five rebounds and two steals.
