IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending February 21.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mackenzie Roth • A • So. • Temple • Schnecksville, Pa.
Roth scored a game- and career-high six points (4g, 2a) to lead Temple to a 17-10 win at Delaware in the Owls’ season-opener. Roth connected on all four of her shots, scoring the Owls’ first two goals of the first half and two key second-half goals as part of a 5-0 run that effectively put the game away.

Belle Mastropietro • M • So. • Temple • Springfield, Pa.
Mastropietro contributed at both ends of the field in Temple’s 17-10 win at Delaware. She scored three goals with two assists to finish as one of four Temple players with a hat trick, while she added a game-high seven draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover.

Paige Gunning • G • So. • Vanderbilt • Severna Park, Md.
Gunning made a career-high 13 saves, including six in the second half, to help Vanderbilt to an 11-10 overtime win against No. 24 Colorado. She allowed only one goal in the final 17:50 of the game, allowing the Commodores to overcome a 9-6 second-half deficit. Gunning added a ground ball and two key caused turnovers in the second half.

Sarah Reznick • G • RFr. • Florida • Long Beach, N.Y.
Reznick had a career-high 16 saves on 26 shots on goal, turning in a .615 save percentage and setting a school record for saves in a game in an 11-5 loss at No. 1 North Carolina. She had 10 first-half stops to keep the Gators with a goal at halftime while she also finished with a team-high three ground balls. Reznick leads The American and ranks eighth nationally with a .600 save percentage through two games.
