IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s volleyball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 28.
Offensive Player of the Week
Roosa Rautio * Jr. * S * Tulsa
Rautio helped guide the Tulsa offense during a 2-0 conference series sweep of Memphis over the weekend. The Golden Hurricane led The American with an even .300 hitting percentage and 14.86 kills per set, while Rautio herself was the league leader with 12.71 assists per set. In a four-set win against Memphis on Feb. 25, she notched 48 assists, five digs and three block assists in a Tulsa victory. Rautio closed the series with a double-double of 41 assists and 10 digs in straight sets against the Tigers on Feb. 26.
Defensive Player of the Week
Brooke Smith * Sr. * MB * Wichita State
Smith was one of the top shot blockers in The American last week during a 1-1 conference split with SMU, averaging 1.56 blocks per set. She chipped in 2.22 points per set and hit at a .258 clip on the offensive end for the Shockers. In a four-set win over the Mustangs on Feb. 26, Smith combined on nine block assists in the Wichita State triumph. She added a pair of digs and five block assists to the Shocker cause in a five-set setback on Feb. 27.

Ranked fourth in The American with a .441 hitting percentage and averaged 1.22 blocks per set in a 1-1 series split with Wichita State; hit .400 with seven total blocks (one solo) in a four-set win against the Shockers (Feb. 27)
Kylie Trefflich * So. * OH * Tulsa
Ranked third in the conference with 3.86 points per set and ninth with a .358 hitting percentage for Tulsa in a 2-0 week; hit .357 with 16 kills in match one with Memphis (Feb. 25) and connected on .360 of attempts in straight sets to sweep the Tiger (Feb. 26)
Abbie Jackson * So. * OH * Houston
Led The American with 5.94 points per set in a 1-1 Houston week; hit .286 with 29 kills and 11 digs in five sets against Texas Tech (Feb. 26)
Falanika Danielson * Fr. * DS/L * Temple
Averaged 5.33 digs per set to rank third in The American for 1-1 Temple in nonconference play; logged 32 digs and six assists in a five-set win against Delaware (Feb. 26)
Camryn Allen * Sr. * DS/L * East Carolina
Recorded 15 digs in a straight-set sweep of North Carolina (Feb. 21) by East Carolina; added four assists in the Pirate win
