IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winner of the league’s men’s golf player of the week honor, for the week ending Tuesday, March 9.

Noah Goodwin * Jr. * SMU
Goodwin was the SMU individual leader in a team victory as the host of the Trinity Forest Invitational on March 7-9 at the Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. It was the first win for the Mustangs in the team draw since the tournament debuted in 2017. Goodwin picked up a runner-up result for his third individual top-25 finish of the year after compiling rounds of 67-71-69=207 (-6) to finish just one shot off the pace. He paced all players in the field with three eagles during the event and was tied among the tournament leaders in par-4 stroke average (3.94, -2). Goodwin was also one of just three players, along with teammates Ollie Osborne and Nathan Petronzio, to card multiple rounds in the 60s.
