IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors, for the week ending Sunday, March 14.
Player of the Week
Madison Perrigan * Sr. * C * Wichita State
Perrigan batted .500 with two home runs, five RBI, a 1.400 slugging percentage and four runs in a 3-1 Wichita State week. She registered one hit and run in both games of a doubleheader on March 9 and connected on a three-run home run in the first inning as part of a four RBI day against Missouri State on March 11.
Pitcher of the Week
Gianna Mancha * Sr. * RHP * UCF
Mancha was virtually unhittable for a second straight week in the circle for UCF, throwing 20.0 scoreless innings for the Knights while logging a 3-0 record. Mancha held opposing batters to a .106 batting average against, walked five and struck out 30 over three starts. She spun a three-hit shutout with two walks and nine strikeouts in a win over No. 2 Arizona on March 8, struck out 12 in a two-hit shutout of FAU on March 13 and scattered two hits with nine punchouts in six innings against FAU on March 14.

Georgina Corrick * Jr. * RHP * USF
Went 2-0 with a 1.47 ERA, a .176 batting average against and 31 strikeouts in just 14.1 innings pitched against New Mexico State; struck out 15 batters in 7.1 scoreless innings of relief to claim game two of the doubleheader on March 10
Chyanne Ellett * So. * RHP * Memphis
Went 1-0 with a 1.56 ERA in three appearances for Memphis; allowed one hit in three innings of scoreless relief against Mississippi State on March 12
Denali Schappacher * Sr. * OF * UCF
Led UCF with a .500 batting average, three stolen bases and four runs in a 5-0 week; scored an insurance run for the Knights in the win over No. 2 Arizona on March 8 and went 3-for-3 with three steals and two runs against FIU on March 11
Bailey Lange * Sr. * LHP * Wichita State
Posted a 1-1 record and 2.00 ERA for Wichita State during a 3-1 week; tossed a complete-game four-hit shutout with a walk and six strikeouts against Omaha on March 11
Lindsey Stewart-Vaughn * R-Sr. * OF * Houston
Paced Houston with five hits and three runs in four games last week; went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in an upset Cougar win over No. 7 Oklahoma State on March 13
