Houston men's basketball junior Quentin Grimes has been named a third-team All-American selection by the Associate Press and the United States Basketball Writers Association.
These are the second and third All-America nods for Grimes, as he was announced as a third-team All-American by the Sporting News last week. In addition, Grimes was named Player of the Year by The American's coaches and was a unanimous first-team all-conference selection.
On Sunday, Grimes was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2021 Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship after averaging 19.0 points in the Cougars' three games en route to the title.
For the season, Grimes is third in The American with 18.0 points per game and eighth in the league with 6.0 rebounds per contest. Grimes has additionally earned USBWA All-District VII and NABC All-District 24 honors.
