Houston's Grimes Earns Fourth All-America Honor

IRVING, Texas -- Houston men's basketball junior Quentin Grimes has been selected to an All-America team for the fourth time this season, earning third-team honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

This is the fourth Third-Team All-America nod for Grimes and third in as many days, as he was announced as an All-American by the Sporting News last week, by the Associated Press on Tuesday, March 16, and by the United States Basketball Writers Association on Wednesday, March 17. In addition, Grimes was named Player of the Year by The American's coaches and was a unanimous first-team all-conference selection.

On Sunday, Grimes was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2021 Air Force Reserve American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship after averaging 19.0 points in the Cougars' three games en route to the title. 

For the season, Grimes is third in The American with 18.0 points per game and eighth in the league with 6.0 rebounds per contest. Grimes has additionally earned USBWA All-District VII and NABC All-District 24 honors.
