Houston's Pedemonti Earns Women's Tennis Player of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending March 1.

Pedemonti went 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles in Houston’s 3-0 week to help the Cougars improve to 7-2 on the 2020-21 season. She scored a three-set win at No. 5 singles in a 5-1 victory against North Texas, registered a 6-3, 6-3 victory in a 4-0 win against Louisiana and closed the week with 6-1, 7-6 (4) decision in the Cougars’ 4-1 win against Wichita State. Pedemonti, who added doubles wins against Louisiana and Wichita State, is off to to a 6-1 start in singles play and is 4-2 in doubles matches this season.
