IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending March 29.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Gabriel Decamps • Jr. • UCF • Sao Paulo, Brazil
Decamps, who is ranked No. 4 in the March 24 Oracle/ITA singles chart, extended his winning streak to 12 matches by going 4-0 at No. 1 singles in a 4-0 week for the Knights, with all four wins coming against ranked teams. He scored two match-clinching wins against nationally ranked individuals, scoring a straight-set (6-4, 6-0) decision against the No. 110-ranked player from Oklahoma and a three-set victory (6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-4) against the No. 44-ranked player from Oklahoma State. Decamps added straight-set wins against Arkansas and SMU. Decamps improved his singles record to 14-1 this season, including a 6-1 mark against nationally ranked players.
