IRVING, Texas – For the third consecutive season, Memphis and USF will represent the American Athletic Conference in the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship, as both schools were selected to the 2020 field Monday, April 19.
The American’s regular season and tournament champion USF Bulls (9-0-2) will face Central Connecticut State (7-0-0) in the first round on April 27 at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT. The winner will advance to the second round to face seventh-seeded Texas A&M (11-3-0) on April 30 at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT. The Bulls are making their seventh NCAA appearance overall, their fourth NCAA bid in a row and their sixth trip out of the last seven seasons.
The Memphis Tigers (8-3-0), who finished second in The American’s regular season standings, will meet up with Utah Valley (12-4-4), on April 28 at 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT, with the winner playing the No. 6 seed, Arkansas (11-3-0), in the second round on May 1 at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT. The Tigers are making their ninth NCAA appearance.
The entire 2020 NCAA Championship will take place in the state of North Carolina, with the national semifinals and finals taking place at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.
