IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors, for the week ending Sunday, April 18.
Player of the Week
Alexis Perry * Sr. * IF * Tulsa
Perry made a huge impact for Tulsa in her two starts of a weekend conference sweep against Memphis, batting .667 with a home run, nine RBI, a 1.500 slugging percentage and three runs scored. Perry opened the series reaching base in all five plate appearances, finishing 3-for-3 with two extra-base hits and seven RBI against the Tigers in game one on April 18. She added two RBI and a pair of runs against Memphis in the nightcap on April 18.
Pitcher of the Week
Bailey Lange * R-Sr. * LHP * Wichita State
Lange continued her solid season in the circle for Wichita State in a midweek win over UMKC and a series victory against No. 23 UCF, posting a 2-0 record with a 0.93 ERA and one save in three appearances (two starts). She threw a spotless inning of relief with one strikeout to pick up the save against UMKC on April 13, then shined in a one-hit shutout with two walks and five punchouts against UCF on April 16. Throwing game two of a doubleheader against the Knights on April 17, Lange, yielded just two runs on three hits and struck out four in the complete game win.

Caitlin Bingham * Jr. * RHP * Wichita State
Posted a 2-0 record with a 0.90 ERA in three starts for Wichita State in a 4-0-1 week; threw a two-hit shutout in a win over No. 23 UCF on April 17 before throwing 10.1 shutout innings in a 0-0 tie against the Knights on April 18
Lindsey Stewart-Vaughn * R-Sr. * OF * Houston
Batted .400 with two home runs, eight RBI and six runs scored in a series win against East Carolina; logged three RBI games against ECU in game one on April 17 and the series finale on April 18
Alea White * R-Sr. * RHP * UCF
Recorded a 1.17 ERA in a pair of starts against No. 25 Wichita State; allowed just two hits in 11 full innings, striking out nine in a scoreless tie with the Shockers on April 18
Samantha Pochop * Jr. * RHP * Tulsa
Went 1-0 with a save in two appearances (one start) in a series sweep of Memphis; allowed five hits over six shutout innings with six strikeouts on April 17 against the Tigers
