SMU’s Varsity 8 won its heat at the Longhorn Invitational on Walter E. Long Lake in Austin, Texas, finishing in a time of 6:18.053 and defeating crews from No. 10 Alabama (6:18.765) and Oklahoma (6:35.589). The Mustangs then finished second in the A final in 6:21.721, only behind No. 2 Texas (6:10.430) and ahead of No. 10 Alabama (6:27.779) and Notre Dame (7:50.021).

Results Around The American
UCF took part in the Lake Wheeler Invitational in North Carolina, finishing third in the A Finals of the Varsity 8 (6:50.126), Second Varsity 8 (7:02.932) and Varsity 4 (7:39.291).
Sacramento State competed at the Dexter Lake Invitational in Oregon on April 24 and the Hornets’ 2V8 finished third, taking down teams from USC and Gonzaga. The Varsity 8 also took down Gonzaga.
SMU competed at the Longhorn Invitational on Long Lake in Austin, Texas, finishing second in the A finals of both the Varsity 8 (6:21.721) and Second Varsity 8 (6:30.408).
Tulsa also competed at the Longhorn Invitational, with the Varsity 4 winning the B final in 7:28.699, while the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 crews placed second in the B finals.
