East Carolina, South Florida Reach Regional Finals

East Carolina and South Florida both advanced their respective finals after picking up victories on Saturday, June 5. East Carolina will take on the winner of Charlotte and Maryland in the Greenville Regional, while South Florida will face the winner of South Alabama and Miami in the Gainesville Regional. Both games will take place Sunday, June 6 at 6 p.m. ET.

East Carolina 7, Charlotte 5 - Box Score
East Carolina rallied with two runs in the seventh and three runs in the eighth to defeat Charlotte, 7-5, and advance to the regional final. 

Down 5-2 in the seventh, the Pirates' Bryson Worrell scored on a ground out and pinch hitter Joey Berini singled home Lane Hoover to pull ECU (43-15) within one run.

In the eighth, Worrell doubled down the right field line to score Alec Makarewicz to tie the game and Hoover singled home Worrell and Zach Agnos to give the Pirates the lead.

Matt Bridges (5-0) earned the win with 2.1 scoreless innings of work to close out the game for the Pirates. Bryce McGowan (7-5) took the loss for Charlotte (40-20), allowing three runs in two innings of relief.

South Florida 10, Miami 2 - Box Score
A five-run fourth inning propelled South Florida to a regional final for the third time in program history with a 10-2 win over Miami in Gainesville. 

South Florida (30-27) reached a regional final for the first time since 2002, with the other time in program history being 1986. 

Nelson Rivera had three hits and drove in three runs, while Riley Hogan recorded three hits and drove in two more runs. Collin Sullivan allowed one run in four innings of work before a long rain delay. 

Logan Lyle (5-1) earned the win, with an unearned run in three innings of work. Jake Smith (3-1) took the loss, allowing five runs in 3.1 innings.
