IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s volleyball honors, for the week ending Sunday, September 26.
Offensive Player of the Week
Claudia Dillon * Jr. * MB * UCF
Dillion filled up the stat sheet for UCF during a 2-0 conference weekend, aiding the Knights in a pair of home sweeps. Dillon led The American with a .577 hitting percentage and 1.33 service aces per set and ranked third with 4.75 points per set and 1.50 blocks per frame. Dillon hit .588 with 10 kills, two aces, five digs and five block assists in a straight-set sweep of East Carolina on Sept. 24. Dillon finished the weekend hitting .556 with six service aces and four block assists in a sweep of UCF on Sept. 26.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kate Georgiades * So. * DS/L * Houston
Georgiades was a stalwart at libero for Houston during a 1-1 weekend to open conference play, which included a hard-fought defeat in five sets against Tulsa and a sweep of Wichita State. Georgiades notched an American season-high 41 digs in five sets against Tulsa on Sept. 24, adding three assists and two service aces during the loss. Georgiades and the Cougars bounced back with a straight-set win against Wichita State on Sept. 26 which included an 18-dig, three assist performance.

Ranked fourth in the conference with a .452 hitting percentage during a 1-1 Cincinnati road trip; had seven kills and five blocks assists in a five-set win at South Florida (Sept. 24) and hit .615 during match at UCF (Sept. 26)
Abbie Jackson * Jr. * OH * Houston
Led The American with 5.44 points per set for 1-1 Houston to open conference play; logged a double-double with 23 kills and 11 digs against Tulsa (Sept. 24) and finished with 14 kills, two aces and five digs in a win over Wichita State (Sept. 26)
Alex Glover * Jr. * MB * SMU
Finished the weekend sixth in the conference with a .433 hitting percentage and seventh with 1.14 blocks per set for 2-0 SMU; hit .600 with nine kills and seven block assists in a four-set win over Temple (Sept. 26)
Rachel Woulfe * Sr. * OH * SMU
Posted a .407 hitting percentage to rank ninth, 4.50 points per set to rank sixth and 1.14 blocks per set to rank seventh in The American for SMU in a 2-0 weekend; hit .375 with 11 kills in a sweep of Memphis (Sept. 24) and added 16 kills with a .433 hitting percentage seven total blocks against Temple (Sept. 26)

Ranked fifth in The American with a .444 hitting percentage and 4.57 points per set for 2-0 Tulane; logged a .517 hitting percentage with 16 kills and five total blocks in a four-set win over Wichita State (Sept. 24)
