IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly volleyball awards for the week ending Sunday, October 23.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Claudia Dillon, Sr., MB, UCF
Dillon was a force in the middle for UCF, averaging 4.75 points per set and 3.17 kills per set while hitting .750 in wins over South Florida and Cincinnati.  The senior middle blocker added 1.50 blocks per set on the week.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Kate Georgiades, Jr., L, Houston
Georgiades claims her second consecutive defensive player of the week honor, finishing with 6.13 digs per set in two wins over Wichita State and Tulsa. She had 28 digs against the Shockers and added 21 against the Golden Hurricane. Georgiades added 11 assists offensively.
 
Weekly Honor Roll
 
Kari Zumach, Gr., RS, UCF
Zumach finished the week averaging 1.00 blocks per set for the Knights, while adding 3.00 kills per set offensively.
 
Abbie Jackson, Sr., OH, Houston
Jackson hit .301 on the week, while averaging 4.13 points per set to help the Cougars remain undefeated in The American.
 
Jasmyn Tate, So., OH Memphis
Tate averaged 3.55 points per set while hitting .338 in wins against East Carolina and Temple.
 
Bailey Houlihan, Jr., L, Memphis
Houlihan had two 20+ digs matches, averaging 5.30 digs per set on the week. She had 20 digs against East Carolina and 33 against Temple.
 
Marieke van der Mark, Gr., OPP, SMU
Marieke van der Mark was instrumental on both sides for the Mustangs, averaging 4.57 points per set offensively and 1.14 blocks per set defensively.
