CHARLOTTE, NC – The South Florida Bulls moved into fifth place in The American with a 2-1 win over Charlotte on Tuesday night in a make-up match due to Hurricane Ian. South Florida now has 12 points and is just three behind American leader SMU.
 
The Bulls scored first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 63^rd minute off the right foot of Ajmeer Spengler, assisted by Jemone Barclay.
 
The 49ers answered back in the 76^th minute from Callum Watts, finding the bottom left corner of the goal to even the match at one.
 
As time was winding down, South Florida attempted a long throw in into the box where Brian Schaefer found the head of Oscar Resano with four seconds left to score the game-winning goal.
 
FIU 3, FGCU 2 – Box Score
MIAMI, Fla. – The FIU Panthers defeated FGCU on Tuesday night in the final non-conference match of the season, 3-2.
 
The Panthers began the match with a goal from Stephen Afrifa in the 26^th minute to take a 1-0 lead in the 26^th minute.
 
The Eagles answered after halftime, as Aedon Kyra scored in the 52^nd minute.
 
In the final twenty minutes of action, three goals were scored as the teams alternated points. Bernardo Dos Santos began the frenzy with a goal in the 71^st minute, putting the Panthers up one.
 
The Eagles once again answered with the equalizer in the 80^th minute from Pau Santanach.
 
A minute later, Dos Santos would add his second goal of the match with a penalty kick that ended up being the game-winner as the Panthers won 3-2.
