ORLANDO, Fla. – Back-to-back late goals lifted the Mustangs to a 2-1 victory over UCF Tuesday afternoon at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex.
 
Harvey Castro found the back of the net for the first time this season off a Nikola Djordjevic assist. Djordjevic cut the ball back and Castro fired the equalizer past UCF's keeper in the middle of the goal.
 
Mads Westergren broke the tie within two minutes, firing a perfectly placed shot in the top left corner of the goal, earning his second score of the year.
 
The Knights struck in the 17th minute when Lucca Dourado scored UCF's lone goal.
 
Bram Kaarsgaren was in goal for the Mustangs, earning three saves on 13 shots faced.
 
FIU 3, Temple 0 – Box Score
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – FIU men's soccer was on the road, Wednesday night, to take on American Athletic Conference foe Temple, taking down the Owls, 3-0.
 
Carlos Scheckermann won a 50/50 ball deep in Temple territory, getting the ball to the feet of Bernardo Dos Santos Monteiro. Dos Santos Monteiro then took a few touches before hitting a curled shot that found the inside of the far post in the 11th minute
 
FIU's continued high press stifled Temple the rest of the half as the Panthers would go into halftime ahead, 1-0.
 
Dos Santos Monteiro would earn his brace in the 59th minute. He would go on a great run, beating his defender and eventually being taken down in the box and awarded a penalty. The sophomore would then step up to the spot and convert the chance to bring the advantage to 2-0.
 
Three minutes later the score would jump to 3-0. A cross would be misplayed by the Temple keeper and eventually land at the feet of Matteo Gasperoni who took a shot off the bounce and put it into the back of the net.
 
FIU would come close to a fourth goal a number of times and came away with another conference victory at the end of the night.
 
Tulsa 3, FAU 0 – Box Score
Tulsa, Okla. – The Tulsa Golden Hurricane took town Florida Atlantic 3-0 on Wednesday night to improve to 6-1-2 overall and 2-1-1 in The American. Florida Atlantic take their first American loss and fall to 3-5-2 overall and 2-1-1 in The American.
 
Tulsa got on the board in the 36th minutes with a goal from Will Edwards.
 
It wouldn't be until after halftime that scoring would continue, with Henry Sach scoring a goal to make it a 2-0 lead for Tulsa in the 62nd minute.
 
With just 11 second left to play, Malik Henry-Scott would add the third goal of the day for the Hurricane.
 
Memphis 1, Charlotte 1 – Box Score
Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Tigers and Charlotte 49ers men's soccer teams came to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday afternoon in Memphis.  Memphis goes to 5-2-3 overall and 2-1-1 in The American, while Charlotte is now 7-1-1 overall and 1-1-1 in The American.
 
The scoring would happen quickly for both teams before the defenders would kick it up a notch.
 
In the 6th minute, Memphis took the lead with a goal from Alberto Cruz to make it 1-0.
 
The 49ers would score the equalizer in the 13th minute off Jonathan Nyandjo's right foot.
 
The 49ers had 18 shots and eight on goal, while the Tigers had eight shots and five on goal.
 
South Florida 2, UAB 2 – Box Score
Birmingham, Ala. – The UAB and South Florida men's soccer teams played to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night. UAB is now 2-6-2 overall and 0-2-2 in The American, while South Florida is 2-3-3 overall and 1-0-2 in The American.
 
South Florida would score the lone goal in the first half off a shot from Jeffrey Copper in the 34th minute.
 
The scoring would continue in the second half as UAB scored the initial equalizer in the 57th minute from Nathaniel St. Louis.
 
The Bulls would respond in the 65th minute from Shion Soga to make the score 2-1.
 
With just five second left to play, Brooks Rice would tie the match to force the draw.
