MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Quarterback Seth Henigan threw for 262 yards and a touchdown and the Memphis defense limited Tulsa to 31 rushing yards and 207 total yards in a 26-10 win against the Golden Hurricane Thursday at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

Henigan connected on a 68-yard touchdown pass to Javon Ivory in the first quarter for the biggest offensive play in the game, giving Memphis a lead it would not relinquish. But it was the Tiger defense that was able to stymie two Tulsa quarterbacks as the Golden Hurricane could find the end zone until midway through the fourth quarter.

By then, the Tigers had built a 23-3 lead behind three Chris Howard field goals and a 3-yard scoring run by Asa Martin.

Memphis held Tulsa to 3-for-15 efficiency on third down and scored 10 points off of two Golden Hurricane turnovers.

Ivory finished with 123 yards for Memphis, which evened its overall record at 5-5 and moved to the precipice of bowl eligibility.

Braylon Braxton went 12-for-24 for 128 yards and a touchdown for Tulsa, relieving starter Davis Brin, who completed 5 of 13 passes for 48 yards and was intercepted once. Tulsa fell to 3-7.
