TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Keyshawn Embery-Simpson scored 20 points off of the bench to lead Tulsa over Jackson State 85-79 on Saturday.

Embery-Simpson added six assists for the Golden Hurricane (1-1). Tim Dalger added 18 points while going 5 of 6 from the floor, including 2 for 3 from distance, and 6 for 6 from the line, and they also had nine rebounds. Bryant Selebangue finished 7 of 9 from the floor to finish with 15 points, while adding 10 rebounds.

Trace Young led the way for the Tigers (0-2) with 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. Ken Evans added 15 points and two steals for Jackson State.

Embery-Simpson put up 10 points in the first half for Tulsa, who led 37-34 at the break. Dalger led Tulsa with 11 points in the second half as the team outscored Jackson State by three points over the final half.

GREENVILLE, N.C. – RJ Felton scored a career-high 23 points, including 20 second half points, as East Carolina battled back from an early 19-point first half deficit to defeat Presbyterian 77-57 on Saturday evening at Williams Arena in Minges Coliseum.
 
Kalib LaCount and Javon Small each added 16 points for the Pirates (2-0) with all of Small's points coming in the second half. The 19-point first-half deficit overcome for a victory tied for the second largest since 1981 with the Pirates' buzzer-beating win over Memphis last season.
 
Terrell Ard Jr. led Presbyterian (1-2) with 13 points.
 
Cold shooting and turnovers put the Pirates in familiar territory early in the first half, as they faced a 23-4 deficit before chipping away at the lead by drawing fouls and earning 10 points at the free throw line in the first half. In similar fashion to the Mercer game, the Pirates used a quick 7-2 spurt at the end of the first half to go into halftime only down 32-26.
 
In the second half, the Pirates flipped the script on offense shooting 16-of-27 (59.3 percent) from the floor, 9-of-14 (64.3 percent) from behind the arc, and 10-of-11 (90.9 percent) at the free-throw line to outscore Presbyterian 51-25. ECU tightened up its defense as well in the second half, holding the Blue Hose to only 25 percent shooting from the floor.

Alcorn State 66, Wichita State 57 - Box Score
WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State fell to Alcorn State, 66-57, Saturday at Charles Koch Arena. With the loss, the Shockers fell to 1-1, while the Braves improved to 1-1.

Kenny Pohto led the Shockers with 13 points, while Jaykwon Walton added 12. Craig Porter Jr nearly recorded a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Alcorn State shot 53.9 percent (14-26) in the second half to pull away. Trevin Wade led all scorers with 14 points.
