MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Kendric Davis’s 26 points helped Memphis defeat VCU 62-47 on Sunday night.

Davis also added seven assists for the Tigers (2-1). Keonte Kennedy scored nine points for the Tigers and DeAndre Williams added eight points, 10 rebounds and four steals.

The Rams (3-2) were led by Jamir Watkins, who recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Brandon Johns Jr. added 10 points, nine rebounds and two blocks for VCU. Jayden Nunn had 10 points and two steals.

UCF 57, Santa Clara 50 - Box Score
NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) — Taylor Hendricks scored 19 points as UCF beat Santa Clara 57-50 on Sunday night to win the Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas.

Hendricks was 7-of-15 shooting, including 3 for 10 from distance, and went 2 for 3 from the line for the Knights (4-1). Tyem Freeman added nine points while going 4 of 9 (1 for 4 from distance), and he also had seven rebounds. Ithiel Horton shot 3 for 8, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc to finish with eight points.

Keshawn Justice finished with 12 points and two steals for the Broncos (3-2). Kosy Akametu added 10 points for Santa Clara. In addition, Parker Braun had seven points and eight rebounds.

UCF entered halftime up 25-16. Hendricks paced the team in scoring in the first half with six points. UCF was outscored by Santa Clara in the second half by a two-point margin, but still wound up on top, while Hendricks led the way with a team-high 13 second-half points.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Senior point guard Marcus Sasser scored 16 points to lead third-ranked Houston to a 66-56 win over Oregon on Sunday night.

Freshman Terrance Arceneaux scored a career-high 15 points while Jamal Shead added 13 and Jarace Walker had 10 for Houston (5-0), which was 11 for 22 on 3-pointers.

Arceneaux and Walker are true freshmen who played in their first true road game.

Senior center N’Faly Dante led Oregon (2-2) with 16 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots. Will Richardson added 13 points and Quincy Guerrier scored 10.

The Ducks shot 38.8% from the field, including 3 for 22 on 3-pointers.

Oregon lost junior guard Keeshawn Barthelemy to a left leg injury in the first half and Altman said he was unsure of the severity of the injury. The 6-foot-2 transfer from Colorado was averaging 10.7 points and 2.7 assists in the first three games.

Houston had a 31-24 halftime lead before Guerrier scored seven points in the first five minutes of the second half to pull Oregon to 36-33. The Ducks trailed 41-38 following five straight points by Dante, but Houston followed with a 14-2 run.

Oregon pulled to 60-54 on two free throws by Richardson with 2:36 left to play before Sasser followed with a 3-pointer for the Cougars.

Murray State 77, Tulsa 60 - Box Score
CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Jamari Smith had 19 points, Jacobi Wood flirted with a triple-double, and Murray State defeated Tulsa 77-60 in the third-place game of the Myrtle Beach Invitational on Sunday.

Wood had 12 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists. Smith also contributed seven rebounds for the Racers (3-2). Kenny White Jr. had 16 points.

Bryant Selebangue led the Golden Hurricane (2-3) in scoring, finishing with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sam Griffin added 11 points and two steals for Tulsa. Anthony Pritchard finished with 10 points and six assists.

Murray State led Tulsa 41-28 at the half, with Smith (13 points) their high scorer before the break. Murray State outscored Tulsa by four points over the final half, while White led the way with a team-high 12 second-half points.
