IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors, for the week ending Sunday, February 20.
 
Player of the Week
Sydney McKinney * Jr. * IF * Wichita State
McKinney captained Wichita State to a 2-2 split in a competitive tournament at No. 10 Arkansas, batting .438 with five extra-base hits, five RBI and five runs scored. McKinney finished the weekend with three multi-hit games and scored a run in each start during the event. McKinney went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and run scored in a win over Illinois on Feb. 18, added a triple and solo home run and two runs scored in run-rule victory against Western Illinois on Feb. 19 and finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run in a loss to No. 10 Arkansas on Feb. 19.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Georgina Corrick * Sr. * RHP * South Florida
Corrick was dominant in the circle for the second straight tournament against high caliber competition, going a perfect 3-0 with a 0.33 ERA in three complete game wins against major conference opponents at the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational. Corrick scattered 10 hits over 21.0 innings (.130 batting average against) and walked just three batters with 28 strikeouts. Corrick spun a two-hitter with one walk and nine strikeouts in a shutout against Notre Dame on Feb. 18, allowed three hits and an earned run with six strikeouts in a victory against No. 7 Oklahoma State on Feb. 19 and surrendered an unearned run on five hits with a season-high 13 strikeouts versus Wisconsin on Feb. 20.

Hit .500 with three doubles, five RBI and five runs scored in a 3-2 East Carolina effort at the Pirate Classic; went a combined 6-for-7 with four RBI and three runs scored against Wagner and Colgate (Feb. 19)
 
Camryn Wineinger * So. * OF * Memphis
Hit .538 with four RBI for Memphis at Florida Gulf Coast’s tournament; reached base three times and drove in two runs against Austin Peay (Feb. 18)

Called all pitches for South Florida in its three victories at the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational, registering 28 putouts and three assists in the field; went 3-for-3 with an RBI against Notre Dame (Feb. 18) and 2-for-4 with a double and run scored against No. 7 Oklahoma State (Feb. 19)
