Old Dominion was the lone winner in three road games involving American Athletic Conference teams Saturday as the Monarchs cruised to a 15-6 decision at Longwood. Temple and Florida fell in a pair of top-25 showdowns as the No. 20 Owls saw No. 11 Princeton pull away for a 14-10 victory, while the No. 7 Gators couldn't keep pace with No. 5 Maryland.

FARMVILLE, Va. - Maddie Mullenbach and Ali Mills both scored four goals, while Jenna Peccia made 13 saves to lead Old Dominion past Longwood 15-6 Saturday afternoon.
The Monarchs never trailed in the game as ODU built a 5-2 lead after the first quarter and held an 8-4 cushion at halftime. Old Dominion maintained the four-goal margin after three periods before closing the game with a 4-0 run in the fourth.
Mullenbach, who had scored four goals in four games entering Saturday, doubled her season output with her four against the Lancers, while Mills also hit a season high with her four scores. Lilly Siskind added two goals and an assist.
Peccia was outstading as she stopped 13 of the Lancers' 19 shots on goal and allowed only two goals in the second half.
ODU had a 28-19 advantage in shots and a 20-17 edge in ground balls.
The Monarchs improved to 2-3 overall, while Longwood fell to 1-2.
NO. 11 PRINCETON 14, NO. 20 TEMPLE 10
PRINCETON, N.J.– No. 20 Temple lacrosse (3-1) suffered its first loss of the season 14-10 against the No. 11 Princeton Tigers. The game was tied as late as the fourth quarter before the Tigers notched the final four goals to seal the victory.
"As expected, Princeton is a very good team," said Temple head coach Bonnie Rosen. "We came out and played a really good, strong, and solid three quarters. I think we kind of ran out of gas at the end once we gave up a little bit of a run. It was a great learning game, and hopefully something that might make a difference later in the season for us."
The teams were even from the opening draw. Mackenzie Roth and Abaigeal Ryan scored the first two goals for the Cherry and White.
Belle Mastropietro put the Owls up 3-2 before two straight goals from Princeton gave the Tigers their first lead of the game (4-3). Camryn Zavacky sunk her first goal of the season as time expired in the first frame to tie the match at 4.
Temple exploded out of the gate with two straight two goals from Roth and Ryan to give the Owls a 6-4 lead. Princeton countered with two goals of their own.
Ryan scored her third goal of the match to give her a hat trick before Princeton added two more to go up 7-8.
Mastropietro added her second of the afternoon to tie the game back up at 8 before Princeton scored twice to take a 10-8 lead into the half.
Quinn Nicolai scored the only goal of the third quarter to bring Temple back within one goal.
Mastropietro tied the game at 10 to open the final frame, but Princeton scored four straight goals to end the match and give the Tigers the 14-10 win.
Mastropietro scored three goals and dished out two assists. She also had a game-high seven draw controls. Mastropietro has now scored a hat trick in three out of the four games Temple has played this season.
Annie Carroll made ten saves in goal.
NO. 5 MARYLAND 18, NO. 7 FLORIDA 8
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The seventh-ranked Florida lacrosse team fell 18-8 to the fifth-ranked Maryland Terrapins on Saturday afternoon at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex.
Maryland got out to the early 7-1 lead in the first quarter and even after a 5-1 run for the Gators in the second quarter, Florida could not overcome the deficit.
For the second time this season, Danielle Pavinelli led the Gators in scoring – notching four goals for her third hat trick in as many games. Emily Heller netted a hat trick of her own in the game, scoring three goals to help lead the way, while Ashley Gonzalez tallied one goal to round out the scorers for Florida. Maggi Hall dished out a season-high three assists in the game.
Pavinelli also led the way in the draw circle for Florida, recording a career-high three on the afternoon.
Sarah Reznick posted a team-high four groundballs, just one off her career-high, while eight Gators each registered a groundball apiece.
Leigh Lingo, Becky Browndorf, Emma Wightman, Pavinelli and Heller each caused a turnover on the defensive end in the game.
In her 60 minutes between the pipes, Sarah Reznick posted a season-high 14 saves.
