IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending February 7.

Gale won in both singles and doubles to lead Tulsa to a 4-3 win against No. 18 Pepperdine in the Golden Hurricane’s only match from last week. Gale broke a 3-3 tie and gave Tulsa the team win by ralling from an 0-3 deficit in the third set to score a 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles, defeating a top-100 player. Gale also had the clinching win for the doubles point with a 6-2 set at the No. 2 spot. Gale has a 4-1 dual match record in singles through Tulsa’s first six matches.
