UCF's Saidenova Goes 4-0 to Earn Women's Tennis Player of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending February 7.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Saidenova was a combined 4-0 in two matches last week as she went unbeaten in both singles and doubles. She provided one of the Knights’ two team points in a 5-2 setback to No. 7 Virginia as she held a 6-4, 4-6, 4-3 lead at No. 3 singles before her opponent retired, while she followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 in a 7-0 win against 2021 Sun Belt champion Georgia Southern. She added a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles against the Cavaliers and a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles against the Eagles.
