Cincinnati, East Carolina, Florida Players Take Weekly Women's Lacrosse Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending March 27.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Danielle Pavinelli • So. • Florida • Northport, N.Y.

Pavinelli tied for the lead among all American Athletic Conference players with 11 points (9g, 2a) to help Florida average 20.0 goals in wins against Stetson and Arizona State. She had two goals and two assists in a 19-5 win against Stetson and followed with seven goals – matching the most by an American Athletic Conference player this season – in a 21-10 win at Arizona State. Pavinelli ranks second in The American in scoring at 4.8 points per game, with 37 goals and 11 assists in 10 games.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Ava Goeller • So. • Cincinnati • Bel Air, Md.

Goeller had totals of six goals, four assists, four ground balls, seven draw controls and three caused turnovers in Cincinnati’s 2-0 week. She registered her sixth consecutive hat trick with four goals and four assists in a 16-12 win at Butler and had two goals with five draw controls and three ground balls in a 12-8 win at Robert Morris. Goeller ranks second on the Bearcats in scoring with 34 goals and nine assists for 43 points.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brynn Knight • G • Fr. • East Carolina • Manchester, Md.

Knight backstopped East Carolina to a pair of wins last week as the Pirates reached the seven-win mark for the first time in the program’s young history. She registered a .579 save percentage and an 8.00 goals-against average while averaging 11.0 saves in the two victories. She made 13 stops in a 13-10 win at Campbell and had nine saves in a 16-6 win against William & Mary. Knight Knight ranks second among American Athletic Conference goalies with a .449 save percentage and is third in The American with an 11.68 GAA.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Emma LoPinto • A • Fr. • Florida • Manhasset, N.Y.

LoPinto had a combined 11 points, tying for the lead among all American Athletic Conference players, in the Gators’ 2-0 week. She scored four goals and added three assists to lead all scorers in a 19-5 win against Stetson and had a goal with three assists, two ground balls and a caused turnover in a 21-10 win at Arizona State. LoPinto ranks fourth in The American in scoring, first among freshmen, with 4.30 points per game (23g, 20a).
