UCF's Sharma Named Player of the Week After Extending Winning Streak

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending March 28.

Sharma was unbeaten in singles and doubles to lead UCF to wins against Yale (4-1) and No. 66 Florida Atlantic (4-0) She was a three-set winner at No. 6 singles against Yale, scoring a 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory, while she followed with a 6-2, 6-3 win in the sweep of the Owls. Sharma paired with Sophia Biolay for a pair of doubles wins as well, with a 6-3 win against the Bulldogs and a 6-0 decision against the Owls at No. 2. Sharma has won her last eight singles matches, helping the Knights to five consecutive team wins.
