IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending March 7.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ezequiel Santalla • Jr. • Tulsa • Mar de Plata, Argentina
Santalla, who is ranked No. 99 on the ITA singles rankings, was a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles to help No. 31 Tulsa to a pair of wins. He scored a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles in the Golden Hurricane’s 6-1 win against North Dakota and followed with a 6-3, 6-3 decision in a 7-0 win against Oral Roberts. Santalla teamed with Stefan Hampe for a pair of 6-2 wins at No. 3 doubles as well.
