UCF, Memphis, Tulsa Earn Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s soccer awards for the fifth week of the 2022 season.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Frederick, Fr., F, Tulsa
Frederick scored both of Tulsa’s goals last week, and both were game winners as the Golden Hurricane defeated Temple, 1-0, on Thursday and Oral Roberts, 1-0, on Sunday.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Haylee Spray, Jr., D, Memphis
Spray helped lead the Tiger backline to a shutout of UCF on Thursday. Memphis only allowed three shots on goal in the scoreless draw.
 
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Caroline DeLisle, R-Sr., UCF
DeLisle made seven saves for the Knights in a scoreless draw with Memphis on Thursday. The redshirt senior also made five saves in a draw at No. 20 Texas on Sunday.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Tatum Sanders, GK, Tulsa
Sanders recorded a pair of clean sheets as the Golden Hurricane picked up 1-0 victories over Temple and Oral Roberts. The freshman had six saves against Oral Roberts on Sunday.
 
HONOR ROLL
Annabelle Abbott, Jr., D/F, East Carolina
Abbott scored the game-winning goal in the Pirates’ conference-opening win over SMU on Thursday.
 
Lindsey Aiken, So., D, East Carolina
Aiken assisted on both Pirate goals in a 2-1 win over SMU. She also helped lead the Pirate backline that only allowed seven shots on goal over two matches.
 
Isabella Gutierrez, Fr., M, East Carolina
Gutierrez scored a goal in the Pirates’ conference win over SMU.
 
Janna Singleton, Sr., F, Houston
Singleton scored the opening goal in the Cougars’ 2-1 conference-opening win over South Florida on Thursday.
 
Mackenzie Rudden, Jr., M, SMU
Rudden scored the game-winning goal for the Mustangs as they took down Baylor, 1-0, on Sunday.
