ORLANDO -- UCF defeated Memphis, 107-104, in double overtime on Wednesday night. 

The combined 211 points were the most in an American Athletic Conference league contest and tied for the most for an American squad, tying the record that Memphis set against Yale (109-102 2OT) on November 17, 2018.

Ithiel Horton had a career-high 30 points to lead UCF (13-4, 4-1 American).

Kendric Davis scored a career-high 42 points for Memphis (12-5, 2-2), one shy of the conference record of 43, set by Jeremiah Martin of Memphis against Tulane on February 20, 2019. Davis made 21 free throws, which was a conference record.

DALLAS (AP) — Jaylen Forbes recorded 31 points as Tulane beat SMU 97-88 on Wednesday night.

Forbes also had seven rebounds for the Green Wave (11-5, 4-1 American Athletic Conference). Jalen Cook added 25 points while shooting 9 for 18 (3 for 8 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line, and he also had eight assists and three steals. Kevin Cross shot 7 of 8 from the field to finish with 15 points, while adding six assists.

Stefan Todorovic finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and two steals for the Mustangs (6-11, 1-3). Efe Odigie added 20 points for SMU. In addition, Zach Nutall had 12 points and eight assists.

Tulane led SMU at the half, 34-33, with Cook (11 points) its high scorer before the break. Cook’s layup with 9:29 left in the second half gave Tulane the lead for good at 68-67.

HOUSTON (AP) — Marcus Sasser scored a career-high 31 points, Jamal Shead added 20 points and six rebounds, and No. 1 Houston used a huge second half to beat South Florida 83-77 on Wednesday night.

Sasser scored 25 points and Shead had 13 as the backcourt mates combined to score 38 of Houston’s 46 second-half points. Sasser, a preseason All-American, finished 7 of 17 from the field, including 6 of 12 on 3-pointers. In the second half, Sasser and Shead combined to shoot 10 of 16 from the field and were 6 of 11 on 3s.

Tramon Mark scored 13 points for Houston (17-1, 5-0 American Athletic Conference), which won its eighth straight game.

Tyler Harris scored a season-high 31 points, Russel Tchewa added 14 points and eight rebounds and Jamir Chaplin scored 14 points for the Bulls (7-10, 0-4), who lost their fourth straight. Harris was 9 of 13 from the field, including 6 of 10 on 3-pointers.

Houston shot 42%, including 11 of 27 from the 3-point line. The Cougars forced South Florida into 18 turnovers and converted those into 13 points.

South Florida shot 49%, including 10 of 21 on 3-pointers.

Trailing 53-48 with 14 1/2 minutes remaining, Houston went on a 20-4 run over the next 7 1/2 minutes to open up an 11-point lead on a 3-pointer by Shead. Sasser scored 13 points during the burst. The Bulls got no closer than six points the rest of the way.

Houston used a 10-0 run to open a 37-26 lead on a 3-pointer by Emanuel Sharp with three minutes left in the first half, but South Florida answered with a 10-0 run to end the half to cut the lead to one on a layup by Chaplin.

Cincinnati 83, East Carolina 55 - Box Score
CINCINNATI -- Landers Nolley II scored 20 points as Cincinnati defeated, East Carolina, 83-55, Wednesday night.

Nolley hit four of the 14 3-point field goals made by Cincinnati (12-6, 3-2 American), while Jeremiah Davenport also hit four 3-pointers on the way to 16 points. David DeJulius recorded a double-double with 11 points and a career-high 12 assists.

Javon Small led all scorers with 23 points for the Pirates (10-8, 1-4).
