MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis sophomore shortstop Tyler Heckert made the Tigers walk-off winners on Sunday afternoon, driving in Logan Kohler with the bases juiced and two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give Memphis a 6-5 win. The Tigers improved to 6-2 on the season and won three of four games with Youngstown State on the weekend to win the series.
Dalton Kendrick pitched a one-two-three inning with a pair of strikeouts in the ninth to give Memphis a chance to walk off as winners in the ninth.
Anthony Hansen walked, Austin Baskin doubled and Kohler reached on a fielder's choice to load the bases with no outs for the Tigers. Back-to-back fielder's choice putouts at home plate kept the bases loaded with two outs for Heckert to come to the plate. Heckert lined one back up the middle past the diving shortstop to drive in Kohler and come through in the clutch for the third time in the game and giving the Tigers a 6-5 walk-off win.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – In nearly a carbon copy of Friday night's classic, No. 11 East Carolina scored four runs in the top of the seventh to overtake No. 12 North Carolina 6-5 Sunday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
The Pirates (5-1) completed the weekend home and home sweep of the Tar Heels (4-3) and have won six of the last 10 meetings in the series.
Lane Hoover notched a pair of hits, a run scored and an RBI while Jacob Starling drove in a pair of runs. Tomas Frick went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a home run for the home side.
Erik Ritchie (1-0) snagged his first career win, throwing 0.2 scoreless with a strikeout. Justin Szestowicki (0-1) was tagged with the loss after surrendering two runs on three hits without recording an out. 2023 AAC Preseason Pitcher of the Year Carter Spivey collected his first save of the season, tossing a full inning of relief and managing his way out of a sizable jam.

CLEMSON, S.C. – It had been nearly 40 years since the Clemson Tigers were swept at home by a non-conference opponent, but after a dominant performance by UCF over the weekend it's time to restart that counter as the Knights completed the series sweep on Sunday with a 13-6 win at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
With double-digit hits on Saturday and Sunday and seven home runs over two games, the Knights became the first non-ACC team to sweep a three-game series at Clemson since 1985.
After clinching the series yesterday, the momentum from the previous two games spilled over into Sunday's game. For the second time in the series, the first run on the board was a Knights homer, this time courtesy of Tom Josten. The solo shot to left field opened the scoring in the 13-6 ballgame.
Ben McCabe followed with a single in the opening inning which allowed him to score on a mishandled wild pitch, and ended the day 4-5, scoring four times in his second four-run game of the year. The team's home run leader would knock a solo shot down the left field line in the eighth inning to all but seal the game for the Knights.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Graduate transfer center fielder Drew Bianco's over-the-wall catch was not enough as University of Houston Baseball fell to Incarnate Word, 10-8 on Sunday afternoon at Whataburger Field in its final game of the Kleberg Classic.
Bianco robbed a would-be home run from Cardinals' Alec Carr in the first at-bat of the sixth inning. The graduate student entered the game in the previous inning as a pinch hitter before making cartwheeling, over-the-wall snag in center field. The loss dropped Houston to 2-5 on the season while Incarnate Word improved to 3-4.
Houston closer José Torrealba (1-2) tossed 3.0 innings for the Cougars but ultimately took the loss while UIW's Steve Hayward (1-0) threw 5.0 innings and held off the Cougars earning the win.

BOCA RATON (February 26, 2023) – The University of South Florida Bulls and Florida Atlantic University Owls played a back-and-forth battle for the second straight day in the rubber match of a three-game series on Sunday afternoon. For the second straight day, FAU jumped ahead early only to see South Florida answer back, but ultimately the Owls responded and held on for an 8-6 victory on their home field.
USF falls to 3-5 on the young season and FAU improves to 6-1 after the Bulls handed the Owls their first loss of the season in the series opener on Friday, 5-1.
The Owls scored twice in the bottom of the first inning on Sunday and padded their lead to 4-0 in the second frame. Jackson Mayo cut the FAU lead in half with his second home run of the series, a two-run blast in the top of the fourth inning. Freshman Eric Snow collected his first collegiate hit and RBI with a run-scoring double later in the inning and Daniel Cantu homered for the second straight game to give the Bulls a 5-4 lead to cap a five-run inning.
