Wichita State 5, North Texas 3 – Box Score
Wichita State wrapped up the North Texas Invitational on Sunday with two more wins, defeating Northwestern State, 5-2, and North Texas, 5-3.
 
Wichita State (12-3) was a perfect 4-0 in Denton, including a pair of wins over a North Texas team that started the season ranked in the Top 25.
 
Sydney McKinney extended her hitting streak to 33 games, the sixth longest in NCAA history. Alex Aguilar (W, 3-1) earned the win, striking out seven batters in relief against Northwestern State. Lauren Howell earned the win over North Texas with 6.0 innings of four-hit ball.
 
East Carolina 6, Radford 4 – Box Score
The East Carolina softball team finished up the Pirate Clash on a high note, defeating Radford 6-4 on Sunday afternoon at Max R. Joyner Stadium.
 
With the win, the Pirates (12-3) finished the tournament at 4-1, with the only loss coming to Bucknell on Thursday. ECU is off to its best 15-game start since the 2005 season when the Pirates started 13-2.
 
After a scoreless first inning, Radford (6-6) drove in the game's first run on a RBI double in the top of the second inning but the Highlanders' pitchers would struggle in the bottom of the second, giving up three hits and walking five Pirates for six runs to put ECU ahead 6-1.
 
Houston 7, Sam Houston 6 – Box Score
Houston softball defeated Sam Houston on Sunday afternoon in extra innings, using a walk-off single from Bree Cantu in the 10th inning to defeat Sam Houston 7-6 at Cougar Softball Stadium in Houston.
 
The Cougars used a four-run first inning to take a commanding lead, but the Bearkats matched the scoring output in the seventh inning to force extra innings. Hannah Blincoe (W, 2-0) earned the win for the Cougars, tossing four innings and allowing just one run with four strikeouts.
 
Louisville 15, UCF 5 – Box Score
The UCF Knights softball team lost to (RV) Louisville 15-5 in five innings on Sunday afternoon at the UCF Softball Complex. The Knights fall to 9-8 overall, while the Cardinals improve to 10-4.
 
The Cardinals scored multiple runs in the four straight innings, including six runs in the fifth inning. The Knights had six runs and scored three runs in the fifth inning off a triple from Chloe Evans.
 
UNLV 4, Memphis 1 – Box Score
The Memphis Tigers softball team fell to UNLV on Sunday afternoon in Chattanooga, Tenn., by a score of 4-1. Memphis falls to 2-12 on the season, while UNLV improves to 10-5.
 
UNLV scored three runs in the first two innings before the Tigers answered with their lone run in the fifth inning off a fielding error. Taylor Smrt led the Tigers at the plate, going 2-3 for the game. Brianna Lucero scored the lone run.
