Freshman Kathy Garcia-Soto hit two walk offs, including her first career home run, in the Bulls 8-7 win over Lehigh and 4-3 win over #11/9 Texas.
 
In game one, The Bulls scored half of their runs in the third inning, taking the 4-2 lead over the Mountain Hawks. Kathy Garcia-Soto walked after a seven-pitch at bat. She put herself in scoring position with her first stolen base of the season and was brought home on an RBI double from Megan Pierro.
 
Against Texas, South Florida went to the bottom of the seventh hoping to come out on top. Garcia-Soto stepped up to the plate and after watching one pitch, she settled down. On the next pitch, she launched the ball over the left field wall for her first career homerun, a monster one at that, and gave the Longhorns their fifth loss of the season.

Oklahoma State 4, UCF 0 – Box Score
The UCF Knights split a pair of games on Friday, defeating Arizona State 8-0 before falling to Oklahoma State 4-0.
 
In the win against Arizona State, pitcher Grace Jewell tossed a gem, throwing a complete-game no-hitter. She threw a total of 91 pitches, striking out four batters and walking four batters in the no-hitter.
 
Wichita State 6, Northern Colorado 1 – Box Score
Minnesota 5, Wichita State 2 – Box Score
Wichita State went 1-1 on the first day of the Shocker Invitational, defeating Northern Colorado, 6-1, and falling to Minnesota in the nightcap, 5-2, Friday at Wilkins Stadium.
 
Addison Barnard broke the program's all-time home run record in the first inning vs. Northern Colorado. Her 59 career home runs broke a tie with Madison Perrigan, who set the record in 2021.
 
East Carolina 5, Cleveland State 1 – Box Score
Ohio State 7, East Carolina 0 – Box Score
The East Carolina softball team earned a split on day one of the Jolly Roger Invite, defeating Cleveland State 5-1 before getting shut out by Ohio State 7-0 on Friday inside Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.
 
Jordan Hatch was the standout performer of the day for the Pirates (19-8), tossing a career-high 11 strikeouts in seven innings in the circle.

Indiana 16, Memphis 2 – Box Score
The Memphis softball team dropped back-to-back games Friday night. The Tigers (4-21) fell 6-3 to Northwestern State followed by a 16-2 loss to Indiana. The Tigers are on a current five-game losing streak and are looking to add another win this weekend.
 
In game one, Linsey Hargis led the Tigers going 2-for-3 with one run, hitting .333, followed by Kendall Lee who went 1-for-3 with one RBI hitting .328 and Sam Ibison going 1-for-4 with one run and hit .312. In game two, Ibison went 2-for-3 with one RBI and hit .333. Chism went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
 
Baylor 7, Houston 1 – Box Score
The University of Houston softball team couldn't overcome a sixth-inning surge from the #21/#20 Baylor Bears on Friday night at Getterman Stadium.
 
Bree Cantu hit her ninth career home run for the Cougars (12-14) and finishing 2 for 3 with an RBI. LA Matthews also tallied a hit, extending her hitting streak to three games.
