IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly golf honors for the week ending Wednesday, March 1.
 
Men’s Golf Player of the Week
Ryan Ford, Fr. – Cincinnati
Ford opened his spring campaign with a second-place individual finish at the Dorado Beach Collegiate in Puerto Rico, an event that featured three top-40 opponents, including No. 2 Auburn and No. 12 Virginia. The freshman aided the Bearcats to the team time, their third team crown of the season. Ford placed second with a Cincinnati school-record 201 at 15-under par. He had 17 birdies and an eagle on the way to the record score.
 
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Mackenzie Lee, Fr. – SMU
Lee finished fourth at the Icon Invitational in Houston after shooting 204 at 12-under par. In the second round, the freshman broke the SMU school-record score of 9-under par (63). Lee’s fourth-place finish was amongst a field that included 17 ranked players and 12 top-50 programs.
