IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly golf honors for the week ending Tuesday, March 21.
 
Men’s Golf Player of the Week
Lucas Augustsson, Fr. – East Carolina
Augustsson earned a first-place finish at the ECU Intercollegiate at the Brook Valley Country Club. His score of 213 (-3) helped the Pirates to a first-place team finish as well. He set a new three-round low during his victory and had a par-5 stroke average of 4.58 (-5) on the par-72, 6,830-yard course. Augustsson shot a -3 on the final day of competition to move up seven spots and win the tournament by one stroke.
 
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Carla Bernat, So. - Tulane
The No. 8 ranked golfer in the Golfstat Top 100, Bernat had a second-place finish at the Florida State Match-Up on March 17-19. Bernat shot a 214 (-2) on the par-72, 6,250-yard course and was one of just four golfers to finish under par. She defeated four Golfstat Top 100 ranked players and had the third best par-3 (2.83) and par-5 (4.67) stroke averages. She shot a -3 on the final day of competition to move into second place and finished just two strokes out of first place.
