IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending March 26.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tai Jankowski • Sr. • James Madison • Bridgewater, N.J.
Jankowski had six goals and an assist in No. 5 James Madison's two wins last week. She scored a pair of goals, including the tying score with 5:57 left in regulation, in a 10-8 win against No. 12 Virginia, while she had a game-high four goals with an assist to lead the Dukes to a 10-8 decision against Temple. Jankowski has scored 30 goals with 13 assists for 43 points and ranks third in The American in goals at 2.73 per game.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Emily Heller • Sr. • Florida • Babylon, N.Y.
Heller led No. 8 Florida to a pair of wins last week as she scored six goals and had seven ground balls, five draw controls and a caused turnover in wins against Mercer (15-6) and Cincinnati (20-5). She had two goals with five ground balls and two draw controls against the Bears and added four goals with two ground balls and three draw controls against the Bearcats. Heller is Florida's top-scoring midfielder with 19 goals, whle she leads the Gators with 22 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers.

Browndorf led a Florida defensive unit that limited Mercer and Cincinnati to an average of 5.5 goals, allowing the No. 8 Gators to enjoy a 2-0 week. She had two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 15-6 win against Mercer, while she added a ground ball and limited The American's leading goal-scorer to one goal in a 20-5 victory against Cincinnati. Browndorf ranks second on the Gators with 10 caused turnovers in the 2023 season.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Kat Buchanan • Sr. • James Madison • Milton, Mass.
Buchanan registered a .568 save percentage and an 8.00 goals-against average while averaging a conference-leading 10.5 saves in No. 5 James Madison's 2-0 week. She made a career-high 12 stops, including nine in the second half, allowing JMU to rally for a 10-8 win against No. 12 Virginia, while she made nine saves and allowed only one first-half goal in a 10-8 win at Temple. Buchanan leads The American with an 8.07 goals-against average in 2023.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Camryn Callaghan • A • Fr. • Cincinnati • Upper Arlington, Ohio
Callaghan led all American Athletic Conference freshmen in scoring with six goals in a 1-1 week for the Bearcats. She had a game-high five goals with two caused turnovers and a ground ball in a 17-3 win against Butler, scoring three consecutive goals in the first half to give the Bearcats an 8-0 lead. She added a goal in a 20-5 loss at No. 8 Florida. Callaghan leads The American with 44 goals to go with 51 points this season.
