IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending March 27.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sharma went 2-0 in singles and won her only doubles match that was completed as UCF dropped a pair of 4-3 decisions to nationally ranked opponents. Sharma scored a straight-set win at No. 3 singles, defeating the No. 65-ranked player from No. 22 Georgia Tech 6-3, 6-1, while she took a three-set win (2-6, 6-3, 7-5) at No. 4 singles against No. 33 Clemson. She added a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles against the Tigers. Sharma has won her last four completed singles matches, improving to 9-3 on the season.
